Revisited Export/Import scripts to move Terminated employees to AP_Terminated db.

Can’t see what the problem was back from 2012 that kept me from implementing the solution.

OK Joy, Lil, I've got your automated export script working. All I need is 5 minutes to show you how it works. I have to come down there today anyway so when would you be around ?? Both of you don't need to be there, as long as I show one of you. It's super easy.

Ok, and the "Yrs Step" field is not used in the AP_Terminated Personnel db correct ??

Yes, we do fill in these 2 fields (Separation Date & Type)

Yes, that is correct (however, field that reads "Yrs Step" in the "Series Start" area means something different.

Hi Lil,

I just opened the Excel doc you sent me and it actually has all fields filled and the Primary Series & Rank data seems to match your database for the Talley and Song examples... see below. What am I missing ??

Hi Luis,

I was in AP_Academic Personnel, **Data Entry Copy (our main page) and

did a find which included Faculty, Research, Project Scientist (245

records). Then I exported Last, First, Title, Unit and Section.

HI Lil,

Right off the bat, did you perform the export via a script ?? If so, which one ?? If not, did you perform a find first ?? Also, which layout were you on ?? We can talk on the phone tomorrow if you like or if it's more complicated I can also come down.
